Our Story - Your Story

Avodah Gardens at Charity Creek was a dream born during our first date in 1997. Discussing the question, "what would you do if money was not an obstacle?" we both agreed a wedding venue on a country property would be perfect. 

 

We had no experience, no farm or savings but a dream that we crafted in our imaginations for more than 28 years.

 

We married in April 1998, and it was truly unique. On a friend's farm west of Sydney our guests were invited to a surprise party - but the surprise was on them as we said our vows and committed to one another for life.

Since then we have fostered children and seen them grow into incredible adults with their own families. We have also raised three children of our own and now have a beautiful daughter-in-love as well.

 

We cherish community, faith, marriage and family

above all else.  

 

In 2020, as the country opened up after lockdowns, we were pleased to host a friend's wedding in our top paddock. It was such a joyful and wonderful celebration that we knew we had to make our dream a reality.

Fast forward to 2025 and our son popped the question to his beautiful bride. We then decided to take the bull by the horns, so to speak, and create Avodah Gardens. We are delighted to offer you a venue that fosters love, celebration, connection and a truly wonderful country experience for you and your guests.
